With more than 20 years of wealth management experience, Richert Hart is dedicated to helping organizations and their employees prepare for a more confident financial future. Inspired by his family's strong foundation in working hard and saving for retirement, and a belief that everyone deserves access to sound financial guidance, he helps employers and participants navigate retirement planning decisions.

Before joining 1834 Investment Advisors Co., Richert worked with Fortune 100 companies, public-sector retirement plans and employers of all sizes. His experience serving both plan sponsors and participants provides a broad perspective on retirement plan strategy, education and engagement.

Richert is known for his:

  • Expertise – More than 20 years of financial services experience, complemented by advanced education and professional designations.
  • Broad perspective – Experience spanning retirement plans, financial planning and participant education.
  • Relationship-driven approach – Helping employers and employees make informed retirement decisions through practical guidance and education.

Richert holds a Masters degree in Financial Planning and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and holds the CRPS® and CRPC® designations.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Richert enjoys discussing culture and politics, staying active through CrossFit and pickleball, and spending time with his wife, an accomplished HR workforce strategist who helped write a book with Robert Shiller at Yale, and son, and walking with their three rescue dogs.  Richert also enjoys international travel and visiting family in Hawaii and Washington, D.C.
